Drawer Front Attachment

DRAWER FRONT ATTACHMENT
In genereal the location of the drawer front on the drawer is determined
by the basic case configuration. See the illustration for required minimum
locating dimensions.

Drawer fronts can be attached using either adhesive or screws. When attaching
with screws drill 3/16" diameter holes in the drawer bottom, and
approximately 1" below the locating flange along the top front edge of the
drawer (see illustration A). Holes should be drilled approximately 1" from
each side of the drawer on approximately 12" centers. Use #8 panhead
sheetmetal screws.

If a center guide is used, do not locate a drawer front mounting screw on
the drawer bottom flange directly in front of the center guide.

When bonding with adhesive, any adhesive may be used that will bond high-
impact polystyrene to the drawer front material being used. Contact cements
are generally satisfactory, but ask your adhesive supplier to be sure.
